My dreams...

I have a couple of dreams and goals that I want to try and achieve in my life and they are;
- to see and touch the Eiffel Tower
- to see the Mona Lisa
- travel and do my own little version of 'Idiot Abroad'

Hopefully, as these dreams and goals etc. aren't that big, I should be able to achieve them! Fingers crossed.......

College

I started college today! I am officially a student at South Cheshire College! I'm studying art and will hopefully be specialising in a few types of art next year!



Today was the beginning of the rest of my life.

For getting an A* and for doing so well in my other exams, my granddad, Roger decided that he would buy me the camera that I was going to buy myself! So I went to Liverpool with Olly and took a load of shots, I do have a couple of favourites though! My favourites are the ones that I have posted with this!:-)

I got an A* in art!!! Woooooo! Super happy!

Ok, so this is me and the most beautiful car in the whole entire world! The Triumph. I love it so much, I'm tempted to draw something like this, not sure what though... Looking through old photos to try and get some inspiration!

Year 11

Wow, so yesterday I left school forever and I went to prom and everyone looked lovely!! The past 5 years have gone so quick, but they've been the best 5 years of my life even though I may not of though so at the time! Going to miss everyone so much but I know i'll see a big number of them again sometime in the future! Good luck to everyone:-)

The Vaccines art exam piece

Art exam

3 marks an A* in the exam, now I have to get my coursework up to A*! I suppose it went well but fingers crossed I get the marks in my coursework!!

The Vaccines

For my exam work I chose the poster question. I then chose The Vaccines as part of it as they are 'Here and Now' and have just managed to finish drawing them all accept for their faces as I decided to write the details on the "exhibition" (one that I have to make one up) in them! It sounds silly but for pencil and a blurred picture I am rather proud! :-)

WANT!

I found this on the Internet quite a while a go now, cant remember where from either but when I move out, I am 100% doing this in my house somewhere! It's wonderful!

Exam work

I haven't been posting stuff for a couple of months but I seriously do not have any time! I've been doing my exam work/preparation but I wasn't enjoying it as it was a bit boring, that's probably because the questions didn't appeal to me! But it ok now I suppose, I'm doing mood boards at the moment which are fun but I've decided that Rob Ryan is definitely one of my favourite artists ever!!

Why so TATE modern?

Ok, so this is actually supposed to be the Joker from Batman... and instead of 'Why so serious?' I put why so TATE modern because i'm a comical jenious... *cough*

Modern Art

Sometimes I don't think that I like modern art, but I've decided that I like most modern pieces! Sometimes they're a bit too weird like in the Saatchi there was a wheel chair covered in bubble wrap but then there was other pieces like the one that is attached to this post and I find really eye pleasing!

London!

London was amazing! Although I wasn't that well, the galleries and Wicked was actually amazing!!! I've had Defying Gravity in my head all day but I don't mind! Hehe! Just finished one of my pieces in my art book, I'll get pictures posted when I've got the computer set back up as my Mother decided we need it wiping to get rid of the stuff making it slow! I'll get posting!! :-)

Art Trip to London!

Off to London tomorrow! So so excited, I'll upload pictures soon when the computer is back and up from the repair man! :-) we're keeping a small art book for the weekend which I'll put a few snaps of work on here too! This will be my last post for now until I'm back, toodle-oo!! :-)

Alice In Wonderland

The Alice in Wonderland exhibition was better than I though! It's inspired me for a few photos that I want to do! London Friday night with the art department- can't wait!!!!

TATE Liverpool

Today I'm off for a visit too Liverpool! TATE art gallery have an Alice in Wonderland exhibition on at the moment so as part of a birthday present mum said that she would take me!! I hope we're allowed to take photos, it'd be annoying if we weren't! Today should be a lovely day :-)

I GOT INTO COLLEGE!!!! Yay, I'm so so happy! To celebrate I have decided to download a bunch of pictures of You Me At Six for my media work tomorrow and then I'll set my favourite one as my wallpaper on my phone! Roll on September!!!!!

College!

I have my college interview tomorrow for South Cheshire College at 16:00. I'm so scared and I don't even know why! I just don't want to forget any of my good pieces, that would be a huge catastrophe. Hopefully I get in, if not, well looks like TESCO will have to employ me to stack shelves, or I go to mid-Cheshire where I will seriously be alone!! Good luck me :-)

Twitter

I found this on twitter on my iPod and I had to print screen it, it's lovely! I love the contrasts in the colours and how they mix to make a face! I really want to know who's originally painted it but no-one knows :-( I'm thinking of using this to reflect on one of my own pieces for my Alice In Wonderland Project :-)

Beautiful Sky

This photo has not been edited in anyway at all! This was the actual sky and it's beautiful, Bank took this as I was looking after my cousin Nala Bo, credit too him though for such a lovely picture!!! The day this was taken was a lovely day to go with a lovely sky! :-)

Girl In The Wind

Ok, so, this is Girl In The Wind. I came up with this girl when it was windy and I saw a girl in the wind with long hair and she looked like she had hair all over her face so I took the mental picture back home with me and let my hands do the work! :-)

First Post!

My very first post on my very first proper blog! Wow, I'm quite excited really
Well, I thought I might introduce myself properly even though I am terrible at this sort of stuff, but anyway, here goes!
My name is Sophie Clare Roberts, but just call me Sophie, Soph, Sophs, anything like that! My birthday is the 10th January and so far, this is the oldest I've been! Oh, I most probably find myself funnier that you do too... I live in Cheshire- which is supposedly 'posh'... Some parts are but most definitely are not. I love art, it makes me feel happy and free, plus it's probably one of the few things I consider myself to be good at! Making supernoodles is definitely the best thing I can do....... Hehe, anyway... my granddad, Roger Cowen, who is an artist etc. inspired me in many ways and made me come to the decision of whether to make a blog or not... The decision was, that I should. Obviously, or I would not be chatting away like this!
I hope you enjoy my blog and the things that I have to show you all! Any questions or whatever, don't be afraid to ask etc.
